Corolla’s sound variations recalled an eclectic set from college radio’s heyday. A band of 40-something Chicago musicians that played in projects as varied as JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound and 90's mod-revivalists Chisel, Corolla crafted jangly, sunny indie rock songs that managed to push the format with subtle experimentation. After Covid hit the band called it quits.
